Firm History
In 1984, Kevin Cuddy and Sam Lanham founded the firm of Cuddy & Lanham, P.A. and for twenty-three years successfully represented clients in a wide variety of matters, including:wrongful death, personal injury, class actions involving pharmaceuticals and product defects, civil rights and constitutional issues, general commercial litigation, commercial and residential real estate transactions, new business formation and corporate law, estate planning, employment law, divorce and family law.
Founding member Kevin Cuddy was appointed as Justice to the Maine Superior Court in 2007 by Maine’s Governor. Sam Lanham, and Steve Blackwell, who joined the firm in 1999, now continue the tradition of quality and aggressive representation of the firm’s clients.
In recent years the firm has expanded its scope of services to include medical malpractice claims and represention of thousands of consumers throughout the United States who have been seriously injured as a result of defective products and defective medical devices. Lanham Blackwell is recognized as a leader in fighting for consumer justice.
